At the beginning of each new school year, we will be sharing together in Collective Worship with Revd Denise Jones leading us in a whole school blessing, thanking God for the safe keeping of our children through the summer holidays, asking for his blessing for our children as they start a new year group with all the challenges that brings, and for the teachers as they prepare and start to help our children on the next stage of their journey through school. With God's blessings, our school remains a place of joy, happiness and peace, and a safe space for all children to learn, make friends, and share their school journey.
Back to School Prayer
Dear God,
Please bless all children in this new school year. Give them strength to learn, concentrate and act in love towards their classmates. Watch over them at home and at school. When days become challenging, grant them peace and relaxation, knowing that Your patience, wisdom and courage is excellent in every way. Guide them in their mind, thoughts and body, so they may use the knowledge gained to build your kingdom. We thank you for this new school year and ask that you bless the students, families and faculty that make school such a wonderful place.

A Prayer for Teachers
Giver of all wisdom and greatest of all teachers, look upon our teachers with love, Grant them the resolve to nurture our eager minds, and to never give up on us who fall behind. Bless their hearts for they rejoice when we succeed, and encourage us when we fall. Bless them with gentle patience, for the path of learning is never easy. Kindle a spirit and passion in them, as the flame that ignites the love of learning. Help them see the potential in every student. Their belief in us means much more than the grade we will make. Instill in our teachers a commitment to keep on learning. It shows us to not fear new knowledge and experiences. Inspire them to touch the future. They influence how big a dream we dream for ourselves. Bless our teachers who have come before, for their work endures to this day. Let the light of your example shine upon all teachers, to build up with their words, to love with their minds, and to share with their hearts.
